The food in Trabzon was truly exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes to sample. We indulged in local specialties like hamsi pilavı (anchovy rice), kuymak (cheese fondue), and pide (Turkish pizza), and we were blown away by the flavors and freshness of the ingredients.
Our tour guide was an absolute gem, always going above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. She took us to hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path locations, sharing her love for Trabzon with us every step of the way.
One of the highlights of our trip was the local folk stories and legends that our guide shared with us. From Karadeniz fıkraları (Black Sea jokes) to ancient myths and legends, we were captivated by the rich storytelling traditions of the region.
