OVERVIEW

This is a daily street photography workshop in Istanbul where we will wander mostly Roof Tops and Narrow Streets of Istanbul.

Our preferred time is 8:30am to give us the opportunity to catch some great light – other times (sun-set shooting) are available upon request.

We’ll start in Sultanahmet Hippodrome and walk & shoot our way towards Kapalıcarsi (Grand Bazaar) along the old Divan Yolu (the ‘Road to the Imperial Council’) through Çemberlitaş(The Column of Constantine or aka Burnt Column) district and Mercan Yokuşu (Corral Hill) and where we will seek the opportunity to experience the daily life of local shop owners and the people who carry goods also called hammals (porters or carries).

During your 5-hour street photo session workshop you will learn how to :

make the most out of your camera and its advanced modes
sense of approaching strangers (or when to get away from)
how to find the right subject
timing for perfect shots
basic composition techniques
catching the good light
how to work & react quickly
editing and post-processing (Lightroom/Photoshop 1:1 also available upon email request)

Digital SLR camera
suitable shoes for trekking/walking & rainproof coat

FITNESS LEVEL & PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Moderate physical activities required.
